BLEACHERS BREW EST. MAY 2006

Someone asked me how my blog and newspaper column came to be titled "Bleachers Brew". It's like this, it's an amalgam of sorts of two things: The bleachers area in the stadium/arena where I used to sit when I would watch baseball, football, and basketball games and Miles Davis' great jazz album Bitches Brew. That's how it got culled together. I originally planned on calling it "The View from the Big Chair" that is a nod to Tears For Fear's second album, Songs from the Big Chair. So there.

Hey, chico. Pick your poison.

Arguably one of biggest gimmicks in sports entertainment that saved the pro wrestling industry. The New World Order of Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Hollywood Hulk Hogan spawned a host of imitators such as the Latino World Order, the Nation of Domination, D-Generation X, Legacy etc.

The first half of the DVD is cool but they missed out on so many of the great moments when the NWO expanded. Since Vince McMahon bought out Ted Turner's WCW, he turned this great team into a joke.

For the fan but it's nowhere near the real of a great documentary. Guess it's okay for the fan.
